Pinboard Copy is built by one developer in Hanoi. Email is the fastest way to reach me — I read and reply to every message.
1. Quick answers
- Is my clipboard ever read? No. Pinboard Copy has no clipboard observer and no network entitlement — it only writes to the clipboard when you click a pin. Verify it yourself in Settings → Privacy (audit checklist included).
- Why 10 pins free? Ten covers your real go-to snippets. Pro ($9.99, one-time) lifts the limit — no subscription.
- Does Family Sharing work? Yes. One purchase covers everyone in your Family Sharing group.
- Does it work on my Mac? Any Mac on macOS 14 or later — Apple Silicon and Intel.
- How is this different from clipboard history tools? History tools record everything you copy, forever. Pinboard Copy stores only what you deliberately pin.
2. Restore your Pro purchase
Purchased Pro on another Mac, or reinstalled the app? Open Settings → Pinboard Pro and click Restore — any Mac signed into the same Apple ID unlocks automatically. Family members: make sure Family Sharing has propagated the purchase (can take a few minutes).
3. Reporting a bug
Include your macOS version, your Mac model, and the steps to reproduce. Pinboard Copy is offline-only and never transmits your data, so nothing about your pins is sent anywhere — if the issue involves specific pin content, share only what you’re comfortable with.
4. Refunds
Purchases and refunds are handled entirely by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com — I don’t see your payment details and can’t process refunds on my side.
5. What’s new
Every release is documented in the changelog. Curious what the app does and doesn’t store? The privacy policy covers it in plain language.
