Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Pinboard is copy-only. You add what you want pinned. We never observe the system clipboard, we make no network requests, and we include no analytics SDKs.

2. What we store locally

A single SQLite database at ~/Library/Group Containers/group.com.pinboard.copy.group/pinboard.sqlite, shared with the desktop widget. It stores: pin titles, the content you typed, board name, pin type, optional hotkey slot, sort order, a copy counter, timestamps, and a “secure” flag. Nothing else, and none of it ever leaves your Mac.

3. Secure Pins

Pins marked Secure are stored in macOS Keychain and protected by Touch ID. They never leave your Mac.

4. Network

App has no com.apple.security.network.client entitlement. It cannot make network requests. Updates come via App Store only.

5. Privacy Manifest

The manifest shipped in the app bundle (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy), verbatim:

6. Children

Pinboard Copy contains no content or features of concern for children and collects no data from anyone, including children.

7. Changes to this policy

If a future version of Pinboard Copy ever changes this picture — it isn't planned to — this page will be updated and the App Store privacy label revised before that version ships.
